We love making cocktails in a big serving like this when we have friends over and the Passionfruit Mojito is always a crowd pleaser!
Jump to RecipeThe beauty of this Passionfruit Mojito is that it is simple to make and tastes delicious. I love making it in my Biroix which keeps the cocktail cold for a long time. You serve it with a big ladle and guests can all help themselves. There is so much colour and the fruit looks inviting and is great flavour.
Ingredients
- Sugar – I use white sugar, but brown sugar is also lovely. You can also make a sugar syrup with equal parts sugar and boiling water.
- Mint leaves and some sprigs that are used for garnish
- Lime juice – I use lime juice but you can also squeeze the juice yourself from fresh limes
- Passionfruit pulp – I use canned passionfruit pulp but you can use fresh passionfruit
- White rum – I have used Havana Club
- Soda water
- Half a bag of ice – good cocktails need lots of ice!
- 1 Lime or lemon sliced for garnish
- 1 Nectarine, sliced for garnish
How to make Passionfruit Mojitos:
In your Biroix place the sugar and mint. Take a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon, and gently muddle with a splash of lime juice. You don’t need to go crazy muddling as the mint tastes lovely when it is still fresh and lively. Add the remaining lime juice and mix to combine.
Add the rum, passionfruit pulp and soda water.
Fill with ice and garnish with nectarine and lime slices.
Serve straight away with lots of glasses and a large ladle.

Common questions about Passionfruit Mojito:
Can I make a smaller serving? Absolutely, just make in glasses and keep ratios of ingredients the same.
Can I use other fruits? Absolutely, nectarines can be replaced for berries or apricots.
