Easter. I’d be the first one to tell you there is nothing wrong with chocolate (*picture entire blocks inhaled whilst hiding in the pantry from my toddler) but if, like me, you like a little balance in your life let me introduce you to my Easter ABC Gifts : Anything But Chocolate. Where possible I like to support NZ owned and operated businesses so you will see these heroed in this post. Hopefully I can help you discover some new places to shop!
Bunny Bonnets // Does it get any cuter than little people in these bonnets? If you aren’t convinced please refer to the photo above. Yes. Unbelievably adorable aren’t they?! There are a few of these around but River’s noggin will be in Thomas Pie & Sloan.co
Personalised Bunny Bags// Ok so these are designed by Willow Boutique to carry your Easter eggs on your hunt but they are not officially chocolate so they make the list. Also mega cute after Easter too don’t you think?
Egg Cups // I have been coveting many things on The Little White Box website but these beautiful handmade personalised egg cups were my first purchase, and I adore them. I am looking forward to seeing them adorned with Egg and Soldiers and accompanied by messy faces and chubby little hands.
Books// Not strictly Easter books but bunny and egg type references all over the place. The classics for me Guess How Much I Love You and the Beatrix Potter favorite Peter Rabbit are beautiful. Then for something a little bit special We’re Going On An Egg Hunt by Laura Hughes is a flip flap book (hallelujah) and is all sorts of fun.
Clothing// The dress above from pepis boutique is serious levels of cute. Get in quick as these are a preorder item.
Decorations // Pop Roc Parties is the first place I look now for party planning ideas and decoration. This garland is so stylish and sweet but you will find plenty of other goodies on the site too.
Necklace // what about this necklace by Katy B Jewellery, gorgeous and the price is amazing too!
Bunnykins // We are lucky enough to have been handed down our family Bunnykins crockery from our parents and there is something extremely nostalgic about them. If you are keen to start your own collection you can find these at many homeware store such as Smith & Caughey’s or even flybuys!
Pyjamas // Recently I asked on my Instagram if anyone had any cool Easter family traditions and a friend of mine said they do new PJs in their house. I love this idea! We do new Summer PJs at Christmas so Easter is the perfect time to get those snuggly winter PJs on. No these aren’t bunny themed but I just love them. From our friends at Dapper Mr Bear
Ok and if none of my favourites excite you, hop over to Little Whimsy for their Easter Edit or take matters into your own hands and make something craft like with, (*gulp!) or without, (probably safer?!) the children’s help. Here are some ideas for you.
I hope you enjoyed my chocolate-free goodies and if I inspired you, I’d love to see some pics of your goodies xxx Jana
