Simple Creamy Kids Pasta

Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 250 grams Pasta – I’ve used Spaghetti
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Garlic
  • 300 grams Cream
  • 100 grams Ham chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup frozen Peas
  • 1 cup Grated Cheese – have used Colby

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted water as per packet directions.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, add the butter to a large pan on a medium heat and once melted add the garlic, stir so the garlic doesn’t burn. Add the cream and ham and cook for a couple of minutes until cream has reduced a little. Season well with salt and pepper.
  3. When the pasta has cooked, don’t drain it, simply use tongs to add the pasta to the creamy sauce. You will end up with some pasta water going into the sauce which is exactly what we want. The pasta water helps the sauce become silky and delicious. Add the peas and cheese in now too.
  4. Stir and taste, adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Once peas are cooked and you are happy with the sauce, serve.
