Halloween Chocolate Bark

Course Dessert
Cuisine kiwi
Total Time 30 minutes
Servings 6

Ingredients

  • 250 grams (around 2 cups) Dark Chocolate Buttons
  • 40 grams (around ¼ cup) White Chocolate Buttons It is best to use cooking chocolate for this
  • 40 grams (around ¼ cup) Sweets & sprinkles for decorating I used green and orange colours for the Halloween theme.

Instructions

  1. Line a baking tray with baking paper
  2. Take a medium sized pot and add enough water to water to come up around 2 inches high in the pot.
  3. Take a metal bowl the fits well ontop of the pot and place the dark choclate inside. Make sure that the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water. We want no water to touch the bowl or get into the chocolate.
  4. Melt the chocolate, stirring until all melted and smooth.
  5. Set aside. Stirring occationally while you melt the white chocolate so it stays melted.
  6. Melt the white chocolate in a new bowl and once smooth place in a piping bag or small plastic ziplock bag.
  7. Pour the dark chocolate over the baking paper and use a palette knife or the back of a spoon to spread and smooth out.
  8. Cut the end of your piping bag or plastic bag and pipe circles inside each other. If you leave a little space between them this gives space for the cobwebs.
  9. Then get a skewer and make the circles into cobwebs by running the skewer from the centre to the outside of the sheet.
  10. Sprinkle over your sweets, I find less in more in this case.
  11. Leave the chocolate to harden and then you can break it into pieces of bark with your hands.
  12. Happy Halloween! Jana.
